Winter ascent to Skolio 2909m, Mt. Olympus
Activity Description
The winter ascent to Skolio (2909m) the second highest peak of Olympus and Greece is without a doubt a special experience!
Now in winter on Mount Olympus the snow has already appeared at the lowest altitudes giving us a stunning color contrast with the white of the snow dominating most of the mountain.
For the winter ascent to Scolios, we start with jeeps from the village of Kalyvia Elassonas, where our meeting point will be.
We drive with our jeeps to kat, Christakis 2450m (1.5 hours or until the road is open from snow)
We put on our equipment and start our hike following the E4 path, through the large Gourna and the Christakis area, around several high peaks of Olympus covered with snow and in the center the top of Scolios dominates!!
We cross the Scholio and reach the pass, there the view is magical 360*, we enjoy all the peaks of Olympus in all 4 points of the horizon, while in the background the mountains of Pindos on the one hand and Athos on the other compose a unique scenery.
We follow the ridge of Skolio, the last part of the climb and after a while we stand on the 2nd highest peak of our country!!!

Prerequisites:
- You do NOT need to have previous experience.
- It is a route suitable for children as well. (16 years old + accompanied by a guardian)
- It requires good physical condition and love for nature.

* With the expression of interest, each participant is obliged to inform the organizer about any health problems and must have with him any medication that follows.
* The organizing company has the right to make changes to the planned activities, depending on weather conditions or other factors.
* The organizer reserves the right to exclude from the activity persons who do not comply with his instructions, who endanger the safety of themselves or the group and who in any way disturb the other participants.
* Minimum number of people 4. In case the minimum number is not completed, the trip is canceled and the full amount of the deposit is refunded.

Cancellation policy
- Cancellation 7 days or more prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price.
- Cancellation between 3 and 7 days prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement.
- Cancellation 3 days or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected.
* If the activity is canceled by the activity provider (due to weather, non-completion of minimum entries, force majeure, etc.), the price of your activity, is refunded in full.
