1 day Summit Mt.Olympus (secret path)
Activity Description
Mytikas is the highest peak in Greece with an altitude of 2,918m, a target for all hikers who want to experience some of the magic of the mountain of the 12 Gods… The secret path is a short daily ascent to Mytikas from the southwest unknown to the wide public side of Olympus.
We follow with the jeeps the dirt road of a distance of about 20 km that slowly takes us to the Christaki shelter at 2,400m, passing through impressive alpine slopes, as in some places its slope is such that you feel that you are flying!
Driving now in the alpine zone we all have our eyes open lest we meet the impressive and at the same time endangered Wild Goat of Olympus.
The dirt road leads us to the Christaki shelter where we leave the jeeps and start the hike.
We follow the most international mountaineering path E4 that leads us to the col of Skoli at 2,906m. and from there to Kakoskala at 2,866m.
After enjoying the view of Megali Kazania and other peaks we put on our equipment and start for Mytikas the highest peak in Greece.

Prerequisites:
- You do NOT need to have previous experience.
- It is a route suitable for children as well. (14 years old + accompanied by a guardian)
- It requires good physical condition and love for nature.
- Absence of height phobia-acrophobia.
Our program:
- 08:00: Meeting in the village of Kalyvia (central square) with your guide and briefing - 20 minutes by car, from the town of Elassona.
- 08:15: Transfer to the Christakis refuge (2,400m.) - 2 hours driving on a dirt road.
- 09:30: Our hike begins
- 11:30: Arrival at the small plateau of Kakoskala (2,860m) for a snack
- 13:00: Ascent to Mytikas (2,918m.)
- 16:00: Arrival at the Christakis shelter (2,400m)
- 17:00: Return to the village of Kalyvia - end of activity
Terms of participation
* With the expression of interest, each participant is obliged to inform the organizer about any health problems and must have with him any medication that follows.
* The organizing company has the right to make changes to the planned activities, depending on weather conditions or other factors.
* The organizer reserves the right to exclude from the activity persons who do not comply with his instructions, who endanger the safety of themselves or the group and who in any way disturb the other participants.
