A wonderful 3-day excursion that includes the most popular parts of Tzoumerka explored on electric bikes on routes with breathtaking views, hiking between the twin noble villages of Kalarrytes and Syrrako, a visit to the unique Anemotrypa cave and the “Panagia Sumela of Greece”, the monastery of Kipina.
Day 1: Meeting in the village of Tsopelas and check-in at the hotel. This day includes a short half-hour ride to the nearby village of Melissourgoi as well as a very interesting visit to the eponymous stone workshop of Mr. George; the first Greek who studied, designed and manufactured ancient Greek musical instruments and jewelry. In the evening, dinner at a local tavern. Overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast, we depart on the electric bikes for the neighboring village of Pramanta. After half an hour we arrive at the unique Anemotrypa cave where our guide gives us the necessary details of the cave. The cave has three levels and is the only cave in Greece that has a river running through it along its entire length. After our tour, we depart for the Kipina Monastery, one of the most impressive monasteries in Greece, built 8 centuries ago inside a hidden rock. We arrive at the monastery after an hour through a wonderful route. After visiting the interior of the monastery, we continue on our electric bikes and in 10 minutes we make our longest stop to enjoy our picnic next to a dreamy landscape at the Kouiasa waterfalls. After relaxing in this hidden paradise, we depart for the last 30 minutes to Kalarrites, the beautiful village where we spend the night. Check in at our guesthouse. The evening is worth a walk in the village and dinner in a traditional tavern
Day 3: Our day today begins with a 3km hike on a path that was used many years ago by the Epirot merchants of the area with their caravans. We go down to the gorge of the Chrousia river and then up to Sirrako, one of the most beautiful villages of Epirus. In the picturesque square of the village where cars are prohibited, we drink coffee and taste traditional sweets. Afterwards, we get on the electric bikes again and take the road back to the village of Tsopela, where our tour ends.
