White Mountains with Wine and Olive Oil Tasting at Anoskeli Winery and Olive Mill - Crete Island

Only local guides, driving 7 seater 4wd, full A/C, vehicles, will allow you to explore really comfortable conditions a part from the mainland of Crete which compatible vehicles, buses or mini buses, can’t offer.
Early in the morning, we visit the 3000-5000 years old olive tree, and later at Anoskeli's olive mill and winery the Sommeliers and Wine-Olive Oil producers, as more professional in their sector, will inform you about the wine and olive oil when they serve you. The adventurous part of the tour is to approach the White Mountains from Sebronas Gorge and drive on rough roads. Have your lunch time at 1200m/4000ft altitude with a magnificent view of Samaria Gorge and the highest summit, named Pachnes (2453m/8048ft). Heading back to Chania enjoy the view of the Aegean Sea from 1000m/3300ft.
During the guided safari tour you will learn about life in Cretan villages, olives picking, olive oil production, cheese & honey production, the distillation of "raki" - "tsikoudia", wine production, and Cretan cuisine, culture, history, and tradition.
Ancient Olive tree: Admire, touch it, and take plenty of photos of the unique 3000 - 5000-year-old olive tree which is still productive! We guide you to a traditional stone olive mill and will see a small typical farm in Crete. Time for a cup of coffee/mountain teα or fresh orange juice, enjoying your time in the countryside.
Anoskeli Winery and Olive Mill: In Crete, there has been olive oil and wine production for more than 3500 years. Taste extra virgin and organic extra virgin olive oil. Continue with a winery experience by tasting 5 different labels of local wine, accompanied by Cretan snacks.
Sebronas Gorge: Things are getting more and more adventurous in our Jeep Safari tour. Half an hour later we will be at Sebronas Gorge and driving uphill we will approach the White Mountains from the west. The scenery is changing really fast and from the valley with olive, orange, lemon, and avocado trees will be at Sebronas Gorge with many chestnut and walnut trees. Many goats and sheep are in the area all year round.
Omalos Plateau: At 1000m (3300ft) altitude there is a small Plateau and it is famous because of the apples, the potatoes, the honey, and the mountain tea. Named Omalos Plateau and in winter time when there is snow, the scenery is beautiful, and many locals from Chania like to visit.
Samaria Gorge: Visit the Samaria Gorge entrance and enjoy your lunchtime at 1200m altitude (4000ft) with a magnificent view of the White Mountains and the highest summit (Pachnes, 2453m, 8048 ft). Samaria Gorge is a National park in Greece from 1962 and a world's Biosphere Reserve, from UNESCO. Your delicious lunch will consist of traditional Cretan flavors with seasonal salad, wine, and dessert.
White Mountains: Driving downhill we stop at 1000m (3300ft) altitude to enjoy the view from above and take photos. Heading to Chania you will see enough changes in nature's beauty. From the forest with cypress trees, in a short distance, we are to the valley with lemon, orange, avocado, and olive trees again. We will cross in driving the villages, Omalos, Lakki, Fournes, and Alikianos before driving you back to your hotels.
