Activity Description
The route starts from our base in Laimos and following a mixed route on dirt and asphalt, between small and large Prespa, we will climb towards Psarades. At the highest point of the route, in the protected forest of centuries-old cedars, we take the dirt road, where the panoramic view of the two lakes is breathtaking. Our destination is the top of the hill above the village of Pyli, where we will see the fortifications of the rebels, from the time of the civil war.
From here on we move off the road, going down the slope until we meet a dirt road that will lead us to the Gate. On our way out of the village, we will make a stop to visit the cave of the rebel leader, Zachariadis.
We ascend from asphalt to the village of Vrontero, to enter a dirt road that runs parallel to the banks of the great Prespa, with a view of Albania, northern Macedonia, and Triethnes, the point where, inside the lake, the borders of the 3 states meet. This road will take us to the picturesque lakeside village of Psarades. From there, we will start our return to Laimos, on a paved road.
The route is aimed at experienced cyclists in good physical condition.
The price of the excursion does not include bicycle rental (you must have your own bicycle). In case you want to rent a bike, let us know.

Cancellation policy
- Cancellation 7 days or more prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price.
- Cancellation between 3 and 7 days prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement.
- Cancellation 3 days or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected.
