Activity Description

Kitesurfing is one of the most fun sports. It started in the mid-90s but grew more after 2003, as did the kite industry in general. In Greece, in recent years there has been an upsurge in the sport since the country really lends itself to it because of the good temperature, the wonderful beaches, and last and most important because of its winds. Depending on your experience, you can choose between level 1 and level 2.

Important information

The group (2 people) must already be formed at the time of booking. The school does not accept individual pre-bookings for group lessons.
If there is a large weight difference (greater than 10 kg) between the participants, the training cannot be done in a group, but only privately.

Activity Description

During the level 1 course, you will get all the basic knowledge to fly the eagle safely and gain confidence for the next step. It is a 6-hour semi-private course, made up of a group of 2 people, and takes place over 2 days.

Level 1A

Know the safe wind guidelines and kite conditions
Know the dangers of the spot
Set up the training eagle
Know the use of security systems.

Level 1B

You have basic training in eagle flying skills
Take off and land the training eagle with the help
Spin and untangle the ropes while flying the eagle
Walk and change direction while flying the eagle
Meet the wind window

Level 1C

4/5 string eagle setup with full de-power system
Equipment and settings check before flight
Checking equipment and settings in flight
Understand and use international communication signals
Lift and land the kite on and as a helper (4/5-line de-power kite)

Level 1D

Check the eagle caught in the belt
Understand the de-power system and learn to use the safety systems
Advanced flying skills with de-power eagle
Show full control of de-power techniques in flight

Level 1E

Pull the quick release and engage the seat belt
Retrieve the mace and the eagle
Land unaided

Activity Description

During the Level 2 course you will use all the knowledge you gained in Level 1, but make sure you wear your life jacket and helmet because at this level you are ready to enter the water. Once you've completed this group of lessons, you'll start using the board. It is a 4-hour semi-private course, consisting of a group of 2 people, and takes place over 2 days.

Course Stages

Level 2F

Enter and exit the water independently and safely while controlling the eagle
Lift the eagle back into the water
Learn to handle the eagle while your body sails through the water in the direction of the wind
Maintain proper eagle position in the wind window
Change direction left and right while your body floats in the water
Retrieve the eagle and the bunch in the water

Level 2G

Point your body against the wind to retrieve the board
Point your body against the wind while holding the board with one hand
Enter and exit the water from the same point while heading upwind

Level 2H

Feel the power of the push at the startup
Know the safety rules and theory for water launching
Place the board on the feet and maintain the correct starting position in the water

Level 2I

Water launches from both directions and short-distance coverage
Controlled posture technique
Understanding weather forecasting, tides, and winds
Determine wind strength, direction, and quality
Know the rules of the correct direction
Know the setup and equipment selection according to the weather conditions
