Activity Description

All of us have gone for a walk on the mountain during the day. At night, however, our senses are sharpened and the mountain and the night sky show us a different but equally beautiful face! As soon as it gets dark and the birds retire to their nests, we start hiking in the unique fir forest of Attica. On our route we follow marked paths of the forest. The moon illuminates the road – on full moon nights we don't even need flashlights – and the tranquility of the forest enchants us: only the water from the springs can be heard and the air passing through the foliage of the imposing firs.

We make a stop at the Bafi refuge for about 20 minutes and continue to the Flamburi refuge at an altitude of 1,158m, where one of the largest portable astronomical telescopes awaits us. It will be set up to see what the magical Moon, which accompanied us on our hike, looks like up close! An astronomer will be operating the telescope and available to discuss this World Big Little Big! We will stay at the Flambouri Refuge for about 90 minutes, where you can also enjoy the Refuge's homemade cuisine.

We return to the casino in our vehicle.
