Suggested destinations:
Heraion: In this small cove, well protected by steep rock formations a remnant of ancient Greece, a sanctuary dedicated to the Goddess Hera. The visitor can explore the remains of the mystical temple of Hera and the surrounding area, and learn about its unique architecture. Overlooking the area the visitor finds the imposing Melagavi Lighthouse, just above the ancient site. Following a narrow path between the rocky formations of the cape, after a few minutes, you can reach the lighthouse, dominating above the Corinthian Gulf. The location offers a majestic view of the Gulf. The Heraion cove is ideal for snorkeling and all levels of cliff diving!
Vouliagmeni Lake: This peaceful lake is connected to the sea by a narrow canal. It has a length of 2km and 1km width and its estimated depth is 40m. The shores of the lake were one of the first inhabited areas of the Hellenic area, with traces of human settlement from prehistoric times. After exploring the lake and maybe trying snorkeling in its azure waters, we will head for lunch to one of the numerous fish taverns around the lake. There you can enjoy fresh fish of rare quality accompanied by local wine.
Cave of the Phokia: Among rocky formations opposite the tiny Alkinonis Islands, is one of the most beautiful sights of the Corinthian gulf. The Cave of the Phokia was the absolute highlight of our trip. A miniature of the Maltese Azure Window, this stunning sea cave, and hidden paradise remain vastly unspoiled since access to the area is really difficult. An ideal place for snorkeling, the Cave of the Phokia is one of the purest places in the Corinthian Gulf.
White Beach: We will continue our adventure by visiting the most notorious secret beach of the Corinthian gulf. Labeled as the x beach, people compare this little hidden gem with the infamous beach of Navagio in Zante. From the partial collapse of a limestone hill, nature has formed yet another miracle, this unspoiled beach with incredibly clean waters is one of the wonders that our trip will unveil to the visitor.
Alkyonides islands: A complex of four volcanic islands of immersing and wild natural beauty. The visitor can enjoy the red sand beach, visit the Byzantine chapel and try some hiking on the hills of the islands.
Diporta islands & Agios Ioannis: A remote island complex with impressive rock formations and crystal clear waters and sandy beach. Nearby towards Agios Ioannis another unique beach with a freshwater source that feels like an oasis in the middle of a dry and rocky coastline. In Agios Ioannis fishermen's settlement, we can visit an iconic fish tavern.
