Activity Description

  • Route: Aristis Bridge - Kleidonia Bridge
  • Time period: All year
  • Distance: 7 km Degree of difficulty: 1st

Clear crystal clear waters, lush vegetation, stone bridges, monasteries ... Ideal for families and schools ...

In the Pindos Mountains, in Epirus, in the most mountainous region of Greece, are the sources of most of Greece's largest, largest and most beautiful rivers.

Rivers of all degrees of difficulty, for all requirements, can be lowered by rafting boats, "hot - dog" two - seater or "monoraft" single - engined boats.

Rafting is becoming more and more popular and constantly making new friends, and it is the natural path that gives us the opportunity to see and admire the unspoiled continental nature.

Experience and fitness in some rivers is a must, but it all requires bathing knowledge and the ability to play with the wet element. To get involved in rafting downhill, one has to start from rivers of first to second degree difficulty and then move on to rivers of greater difficulty.

Useful information:

  • The meeting, after contacting us for the exact number of your team, takes place at our base, at the Plaka Bridge, at Tzoumerka for Arachthos or at the Clidonia Bridge for Voidomatis.
  • You come with your car.
  • Comfort and safety equipment is provided entirely by Via natura and includes: special neoprene, fleece, windscreen, gloves, socks and neoprene shoes. Natural life jackets and paddles.
  • All you need to have with you is a swimsuit or a second pair of lingerie and a towel.
  • The boat carries up to 6 people for safety reasons, under the control of a professional driver who will provide the guidance and theoretical knowledge necessary for your descent.
  • Participation is allowed for people over 6 years.

Of course be ready to get wet ...

* Our guides are certified by the International Rafting / IRF Federation.

The inflatable boats we use for rafting are of various sizes. A bigger boat means more comfort and spaciousness, but more weight and difficulty in maneuvering.

The rafting boats we usually use can accommodate up to 8 people and the driver (depending on the difficulty of the river). Each boat has a safety valve (screw), which is used to inflate or deflate if needed.

The personal equipment you will be given is included

  • the paddle
  • the helmet
  • the lifejacket

The guide will ask you to sit in the right position by dividing the weight symmetrically. Make sure you sit comfortably in a way that will not prevent you from rowing.

Along the way, there should be no abrupt movements or movements and changes of position as they can cause a minor accident (falling "passenger" in the water).

Be careful not to carry things in your pockets (unless they are zip-fastened) and items such as cameras, cameras, etc. which if you fall into the river you can lose.
