We start from Heraklion and visit the villages of Archanes, Vathypetro and Kyparisso, then continue to Houdetsi, Kunavoi and the Palace of Knossos. Itinerary:

Day 1: Exploring the Villages of Archanes, Vathypetro, and Kyparissos

Morning:

• Start your e-bike adventure from the heart of Heraklion, the capital city of Crete.
• Embark on your journey towards the villages of Archanes, Vathypetro, and Kyparissos.
• Enjoy the scenic countryside routes, pedaling through olive groves, vineyards, and rural landscapes with the assistance of electric bikes.
• Capture breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and valleys along the way, stopping at picturesque spots for memorable photos.
• Pass through smaller villages and hamlets, each offering its own unique charm and character.
• Interact with locals, learn about the region's cultural heritage, and explore historic sites in Archanes.

Afternoon:

• Arrive in Archanes, known for its traditional architecture, lively atmosphere, and excellent wine.
• Park your e-bike and wander through the village's narrow streets, soaking in its authentic ambiance.
• Visit historic sites and indulge in a delicious Meze at one of Archanes' tavernas, sampling authentic Cretan cuisine under the warm Mediterranean sun.
• Resume your e-bike journey towards Kyparissos, venturing into the tranquil countryside dominated by olive groves, vineyards, and rolling hills.
• Marvel at the breathtaking landscapes as you pedal towards Kyparissos, with plenty of opportunities for scenic photo stops along the way.
• Pass through quaint villages and hamlets, immersing yourself in local life and discovering hidden gems.

Evening:

• Reach Kyparissos, where you'll be greeted by the village's serene ambiance and traditional allure.
• Park your e-bike and explore Kyparissos at your leisure, wandering its picturesque streets and admiring its rustic architecture.
• Conclude your day with a visit to a unique tavern in Kyparissos, where you'll taste local products and savor mouthwatering Cretan cuisine amidst idyllic surroundings.
• Decide whether to return to Heraklion or opt for an overnight stay in Kyparissos Village to extend your adventure.

Day 2: Exploring the Villages of Choudetsi, Kounavous, and Knossos Palace

Morning:

• Start your day either from Herakleion or Kyparissos Village between 09:00 and 10:00.
• Begin your journey towards the charming village of Choudetsi, situated approximately 17 kilometers south of Heraklion city, nestled in the foothills of Mount Psiloritis.
• Explore the rich history of Choudetsi, once an important Minoan settlement evidenced by archaeological finds in the surrounding area.
• Experience the village's traditional character and charm, renowned for its cultural heritage, especially its music tradition, and the annual "Choudetsi Festival."
• Enjoy the traditional Cretan architecture, narrow alleyways, charming squares, and stunning natural landscapes surrounding the village.
• Indulge in authentic Cretan cuisine at local tavernas and cafes, sampling traditional dishes made from fresh, local ingredients, accompanied by local wine or raki.

Midday:

• Continue your journey to the hidden gem of Kounavous village, known for its rich tradition of rakimaking.
• Visit a local kazani shop to witness the fascinating process of crafting this beloved Cretan spirit.
• Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and aromas of the distillation process, gaining insight into centuries-old techniques passed down through generations.
• Experience the authentic flavors and culture of Crete in the heart of Kounavous village.

Afternoon:

• Conclude your village exploration with a visit to Knossos Palace, located near Heraklion, one of the most significant archaeological sites in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Explore the palace complex, which was the center of the Minoan civilization, dating back to around 2000 BCE.
• Marvel at the labyrinthine layout of rooms, corridors, courtyards, and staircases, and admire colorful frescoes and intricate pottery.
• Discover famous artifacts such as the Bull-Leaping Fresco and the Snake Goddess figurines, symbolizing the rich history and culture of ancient Crete.
• Learn about the restoration and reconstruction efforts aimed at preserving the site's fragile remains while maintaining its authenticity.

Evening:

• Decide whether to return to our office or extend your stay in Kyparissos Village for another night to savor the memories of your exploration of Crete's villages and ancient history.
