Poros is an island that combines the blue of the sea with the green of the pine forest. The old clock symbol of the island has been standing high on the top of the island from 1927.
Get to know the temple of the god Poseidon, the god of the sea and swim in the picturesque sandy and organized beaches.
Our first meeting will be the welcoming dinner.
- DAY 02 - LOCAL HERITAGE OF NAFPLIO
The first capital of modern Greece. We will go up the Palamidi fortress and look at Nafplio and the whole Argolic plain from above.
Then we visit the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, the largest ancient theater in Greece. Both of them are UNESCO heritage sites.
- DAY 03 - VOLCANO HIKE & MASSAGE
On our hiking trail, we will experience breathtaking views of the Saronic Gulf (Aegina, Agistri, Poros) and far views of Athens and Piraeus.
The Peninsula of Methana has 30 craters and the one we are hiking on is the most evident. The paths along the way offer a unique combination of nature ‘works’ including beautiful lava landscapes.
When we reach the top, we have the option to enter a cave of approx. 20 m high. Photos inside the cave are a must-do as the reflection of light creates unique Scenery.
This day you will also enjoy the Real Ancient Greek Massage. A unique experience that you will never forget.
- DAY 04 - ACROPOLIS OF ATHENS
On the 4th day we will visit The Acropolis of Athens which is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon.
It's an archaeological museum focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens.
After we will visit the Acropolis museum. The museum was built to house every artifact found on the rock and on the surrounding slopes, from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece. It also lies over the ruins of a part of Roman and early Byzantine Athens.
Last we will have a walk in the streets of the ancient city of Athens, Monastiraki, and Plaka.
- DAY 05 - 4X4 OFF ROAD & GORGE SWIMMING
On the 5th day, we will drive to the Aderes mountain range with our 4x4 off-road cars and see the whole Argosaronikos gulf with its islands (Poros, Aegina, Agistri, Hydra, Spetses), and if the horizon is clear we also see the capital city of Athens.
We will continue our journey going to the ancient village of Troizina and will visit the Devil's Bridge for a swim in a unique natural gorge.
- DAY 06 - ANCIENT TOWN OF OLYMPIA
On the 6th day, we'll visit the Ancient Town of Olympia. Olympia is a small town on the Peloponnese peninsula in Greece. It is famous for the nearby archaeological site of the same name, which was a major Panhellenic religious sanctuary of ancient Greece. And that's where the ancient Olympic Games were held.
- DAY 07 - FREE DAY & MAGICAL SUNSET KAYAKING
We will return to Poros and you will be able to enjoy your free day by swimming and relaxing. You can go on a sunset kayaking adventure with us.
Our journey takes us kayaking from the Russian Bay to the beautiful islet of Daskalio, with a little church on it, where still marriages take place. We will continue to Love Bay and the calm little gulf of Neorio where we will see beautiful boats and enjoy nature.
As the sun sets, we will slowly kayak back admiring the breathtaking views of the surroundings – just taking it slow, relaxing, and being in the moment. You will feel the beauty and magic of the sunset in this area.
- DAY 08 - LOCAL HERITAGE OF POROS
This day we will visit the Poros museum. The museum was built in the 1960s on a plot of land donated by the Koryzis family. The displays of the museum date from the Mycenaean era to Roman times. The museum contains a notable collection of artifacts dug by the French Archaeological School in Troezen.
Later we will visit the Poseidon Temple of Poros. The sanctuary of Poseidon is situated on the commanding position of Palatia on the islet of Kalaureia of Poros, c. 200 m above sea level. According to the historical tradition, the Athenian orator and statesman Demosthenes sought refuge in the sanctuary and committed suicide in 322 BC, in order to avoid capture by Antipatros of Macedonia.
